How We Calculate This
The number of bones depends on the garment type. Total boning length is the number of bones multiplied by the individual bone length.
The formula
Number of bones = Based on garment type
Total boning = Bones × Length per bone
Casing = Total boning + (Bones × 2cm ends)
Tip caps = Bones × 2 (for steel boning)
